1836 Smokers by Southern
In Texas in 1836, Tejano's, Anglo settlers, and native tribes united under a single star to win its independence. It took knowledge, experience, perseverance, dedication and determination to overcome those odds. It is with that same spirit that 1836 SMOKERS was created. With expert craftsman and metal fabricators; along with design ideas from professional pitmasters, competitive barbecue teams and backyard warriors. Designed and built in the center of the Texas barbecue scene in Waxahacie TX.
1836 Smokers are made from high quality 1/4" thick USA carbon steel. Assembled by master welders and fabricators. They are designed with air flow as the main focus of each design. With intake baffles on three sides of the firebox that leads into a plenum style chamber below the fire plate. This allows oxygen and air to feed the fire from below. On the exhaust side large smoke collection chambers lead into 6" smoke stacks. This gives the pitmaster the ultimate control of airflow for each cook.
